Removal of excessive hair caused by PCOS with us

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS ) is a condition of an imbalance of a womans hormones. This can sometimes cause cysts in the ovaries, irregularities in the menstrual cycle and difficulty in becoming pregnant. PCOS occurs in 5-10% of women and is a very common cause for infertility. If you have irregular period or excessive hair growth on parts of your body that is not normal for a female, acne, unexplained weight gain, and elevated male hormones there is a possibility you have PCOS. There are several ways a doctor can test you to try to determine if you indeed have PCOS, one of them being blood tests.

PCOS can be treated by your doctor or an endocrinologist who specializes in hormonal disorders, Medications by the doctor most likely will eliminate any new hair growth, however, the hair growth and hair follicles that presently exist will have to be removed by the electrologist. It is a two part regime, first to diagnose and treatment with medication by your physician, and secondly the elimination of the already existing hair, acne, and ingrown hairs by your electrologist/esthetician.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a very common, but disturbing, hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age.The exact cause of polycystic ovary syndrome is not known, however, if diagnosed it can usually be treated. Early diagnosis is very important as it may reduce the risk of other diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease, but just as important, it offers a woman the opportunity to regain her self-esteem and self- confidence. She no longer has to feel embarrassed or the need to hide herself from society due to the humiliating problem of excessive hair growth, acne, ingrown hairs, and excessive weight gain.

ABOUT DIANE

For best results, electrolysis should always be performed under an INTENSE MAGNIFYING LAMP with bright light backing it up in order to obtain the correct angle and proper reflection of all hairs, light or dark, straight or curved. The permanent results of the hair removal is totally based on the accuracy of the probe insertion, targeting the root of the hair. Diane works with an 8 and 5 diaptor lamp magnification lamp, backed up with fluorescent lighting which allows her to see even the lightest of hairs and the angle at which they protrude from the skin. This magnification and lighting is of utmost importance in achieving final, but more importantly PERMANENT results.

Call Diane now and set up a free consultation where you can ask all of your questions, and discuss your individual treatment plan should you decide to proceed. The consultation is completely free and Diane looks forward to helping you to move on to a more secure, confident and happier you!

From an Electrologist to an Electrologist

I was about 14 years old when I started to get unwanted hair above my lip and chin area. It was an uncomfortable feeling at such a young age, so my mother looked into finding an electrologist for me. After a few referrals to Diane, I began treatment and the results were so relieving for me. She was extremely professional and meticulous. Years later I still reap the benefits of not having hair above my lip and chin area. Finding the right electrologist is just as important as fixing the hair problem.
